How To make Samosa And Spring Roll Sheets: Spring Roll Sheet Or Samosa Patti
Ingredient
Plain Flour 3 Cups
Salt 1 tsp
Water as You Required
Oil as You Required
Preparation
Knead well until you get a soft dough
Cover and let it for 30 mins
After 30 mins Cut into equal portions and form balls
Cover them again and let them rest for 10 minutes.
With a rolling pin make equal circular shapes
Roll all the lumps the same size.
Then start greasing them.
Spread a generous amount of oil
and sprinkle some flour on them.
Repeat this process until you have a stack of five circles.
Using your rolling pin, re-roll the stack of circles into a thin circle.
Make sure to flour your surface if it keeps sticking. Repeat with all your stacks.
The thickness of the circle should be 2 mm.
On a large pan, cook the thin circle stacks over medium heat for about 1 minute.
Turn it over every 15 seconds.
Cook both sides for 30 seconds, which makes 1 minute in total.
But don't cook it for more than 1 minute, or You will notice bubbles appearing.
Otherwise, it will get dry.
Thus, it will be harder to separate from each other
and it will tear.
Separate the sheets.
Spring roll sheet or Samosa Patti is ready.
As you can see they are soft and they didn't rip while separating.
Use them right away or If you wanna Store them for 30-40 days - paint a layer of oil evenly and
top with another circle, and complete all sheets. Then wrap them in a zip lock bag and freeze them.
Whenever required, Thaw them at room temperature before using.
