How to Make Orange Blossom Water at home:
Ingredients
1000 grams petals (or more) from organic Seville Oranges
3 L distilled water
1 pot with lid
1 glass bowl
Paper or plastic tape 5 cm. wide
Ice cubes
1 mason jar or glass bottle
Preparation
First put 3 liters of water In the bottom of the kouskous pot, then transfer the flowers to the top section
of the kouskous pot.
Put a bowl in the middle of pot and now keep another empty pot
on the bowl to collect the orange blossom water.
Now cover the pot with another flat plat add some ice cubes on the plat or cover.
When boiled water starts steaming up, you're going to take ice and put it on the top of this lid.
As all pots allow the steam to escape I thought of sealing the lid with an old traditional way?You
mix flour and water to make a paste which seals the vessel.
However, I was afraid I may ruin my pot so instead I used a paper adhesive tape and sealed it twice.
After removing the tape I noticed that there were residues of the glue on the lid.
I used 7 disposable ice cube bags, so make sure that you have enough ice cubes before you start
the procedure.
When all ice cubes will finish during the procedures; turn off the flame and open your kouskous pot.
You will find an amount of almost 2 liters of collected Orange Blossom Water in the pot inside.
